It’s quite common that people opt for hair transplant. But few know that it requires a lot of research work before opting for the surgery which claims to revive your diminishing hair. There are two main methods which one can consider during a Hair Transplant. One can opt for either FUT or FUE type of Hair Transplant surgery. It’s better to have a closer look at both the process-
1.FUT
It’s a method in which a narrow strip of scalp is removed from the donor site of the patient. Mostly, the areas near the ears and the back of the head are considered most suitable for it. The individual follicular units are removed from it by the method of stereo-microscopic dissection. The open areas are then closed with the help of sutures. The procedure may leave a fine scar which diminishes with time.
2.FUE
It is called Follicular Unit Extraction. It involves the extraction of hair from the donor site through small punches on the scalp. They do not leave a big scar but many tiny round scars which are white in color.
3.FUE NO SHAVE
It is an improvisation of the FUE technique in which the hair from the donor area is extracted with scissors. The hair soon grows back as if one had gone for a haircut. Unlike FUE, in which the scars can give away your secret,the FUE NO Shave technique doesn’t leave any noticeable marks. The extraction of the hair from the donor site is done with the help of tiny scissors which extract the hair from the hair follicles. It is followed by harvesting the hair with the help of small punches. The patient can thus be more discreet about the procedure as no scars show up. They are also allowed to resume their daily activities much earlier than patients who opt for other methods.
FUT vs FUE
1.Scarring
If you are going to wear your hair short after the surgery then it is best that you opt for FUE.FUT leads to scarring while FUE leads to many small scars which are unnoticeable.
2. Graft Quality
FUT produces a better graft quality but FUE, if done properly, will lead to the negligent transection of the follicles harvested.

4.Recovery
FUT and FUE No shave have a faster recovery period as compared to FUE.
