Profile Forte answers the common questions of the hair transplant patients

Profile Forte is one of the most famous and reputed clinics that has performed more than 5000 successful hair transplants in Punjab. Dr Vikas Gupta has attempted to put forward an extract of such questions which are most commonly asked by the patients before and after undergoing hair restoration procedures. So are you ready to get the answers to such questions?

    Let’s move to the blog:

How much does the hair transplant cost?

This is one of the questions that pressurize us to deliver the best information about why we are charging such XYZ amount and what are the inclusions.

The hair transplant cost is different for each of the hair loss patients. It is because all the following factors are unique for each patient:

      • How many grafts are there in the donor zone?
      • How many sittings are required to accomplish the procedure?
      • How many total numbers of grafts are required for the recipient zone?

Can I apply oil to the scalp after the surgery?

Usually, the doctors suggest not to oil the transplanted hair for about 10 to 12 weeks. But as far as the donor area is concerned, then you can oil it after 2 to 3 weeks. It is suggested to the individuals to only make use of those shampoos and the oils which are suggested by the doctors. Using any other hair care products which are not suggested by the doctor would produce negative effects on the scalp.

Can I dye my hair after the surgery?

You can go for dyeing or colouring your hair after 3 to 4 weeks. But still, the doctors do suggest making sure that neither the chemical products nor the toxin containing products should be used.

Does my transplanted hair have a long life?

No, the transplanted hair does not have a long life. But that does not mean that the transplantation procedure is not long-lasting, the result showing procedure is such that the transplanted hair follicles do shed off in the period of 3 to 4 months. And when that happens the room for the new hair follicles gets clear. The hair follicles which are regrown after the hair shedding are the ones that stay in your scalp permanently.

Can I resume my work on the following day after the procedure?

Yes, surely you can do it. But if you do not want to compromise with your results in any way then it is suggested that you should not resume your work so early. Take an off for 2 to 3 weeks. Since one of the measures for effective healing requires you to remain stress-free and when you are at work then it is nearly impossible to follow the measure.
